The Scrivener is a specialist transcription service trusted by broadcasters and production houses across the UK. Despite an excellent reputation in the industry, their online presence hadn’t been touched since the early 2010s. The original site was static, non-responsive and no longer reflected the quality or professionalism of the business.

My Role

I was brought in to lead a full brand and website refresh. This included:

  • A modernised visual identity that retained some of the character of the original but introduced a cleaner, more professional feel
  • A ground-up rebuild of the website with responsive design and accessibility in mind
  • Improved UX and clearer navigation for time-pressed producers and editors
  • SEO-focused content strategy and technical enhancements

Thanks to strategic copy updates, meta structuring, and performance tuning, the new site now ranks:

Top 3 for other key phrases in the transcription and post-production space

Not only is the site now mobile-friendly and futureproofed, it’s become a genuine business asset – bringing in new enquiries and reinforcing credibility with existing clients.
